Matt Behl is entering his 14th season as our golf course superintendent. Matt attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he received a bachelor’s degree in Plant and Soil Science with a concentration in Turfgrass Management. Matt has worked on golf courses since the age of 13, and has a variety of experience at public, resort, and private clubs. Matt’s most recent prior employment was at Ferncroft Country Club and Crestview Country Club. Crestview was the host of the Friendly’s Classic, an LPGA tournament event. This gave Matt the opportunity to work closely with LPGA agronomists and produce tournament conditions for some of the world’s best female golfers. Matt resides in northern Essex County with his wife Melissa and twins Mason and Marisa. When Matt is not spending time with his family he enjoys all types of fishing, but is particularly fond of fly fishing.
